Our commitment
We operate Kama Tip? (kamatip.com). We aim to make the site accessible to people with disabilities, following the Israeli Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations and Israeli Standard 5568, which is based on WCAG 2.0 level AA.
What we did
- The site uses semantic HTML with headings, landmarks and labelled form fields, so screen readers can make sense of it.
- The whole calculator works from the keyboard, including choosing a country, with a visible focus indicator.
- The calculated result and status messages are announced to screen readers.
- The layout adapts to mobile and other screen sizes, and supports browser text zoom.
- Text colour on the coloured backgrounds is chosen automatically to keep contrast.
- We added an accessibility menu (the button in the corner of the screen) to enlarge text, switch on high contrast or grayscale, highlight links, use a readable font and stop animations. Your choices are stored in your browser only.
Known limitations
- The site hasn't had an external accessibility audit, so some parts may not be fully accessible, for example contrast with some of the country colours.
- The site links to outside sources (tourism sites and official publications) whose accessibility we don't control.
- The accessibility menu is an aid. It doesn't replace your browser's or operating system's accessibility settings.
